Mastery Rank
Mastery Rank is your overall level. It's a combination of experience for every level in every warframe, weapon, and sentinel you've used plus some for every unique base mission you've completed. You can see anyone's rank next to their gamertag in brackets - for example, Geoffistopheles[13].
Mastery rank affects many aspects of the game. Certain weapons require a certain mastery rank to use. Other ship segments, rather than requiring a quest, simply require a specific level. The amount of overall warframe configuration loadouts, resource extractors, and number of daily trades are limited by mastery rank. Finally, the amount of Syndicate standing you can earn per day is your rank +1 x1000. For instance, a mastery rank 9 can earn 10,000 standing per day.

Once you've earned the requisite XP, you must take a test in order to rank up. You can only take the test once every 24 hours. No progress is lost if you earn experience while at max; everything will show correctly as soon as you pass the test. Currently, you can complete the game around mastery rank 5.
Below is a list of what unlocks at specific ranks. I won't be listing most weapons, else the list would become unwieldy.
- None.
- Rhino Warframe, ability to join or create a clan. Vesper Relay on Venus unlocked.
- Ability to join a syndicate.
- None.
- One extra resource extractor, for a total of two.
- All market and Syndicate weapons unlocked. Leonov Relay on Europa unlocked.
- None.
- All weapons unlocked. Orcus Relay on Pluto unlocked.
- None.
- One extra resource extractor, for a total of three.
Mastery Glitch
As of Update 17.7, the mastery glitch has been fixed.
Previously, reaching rank 30 in the post-mission screen would unlock all proficiency and master achievements for that weapon type. Not only was this fixed, but now reaching rank 30 in the post-mission screen will not give any progress towards either achievement. You will need to reach rank 30 in a mission. Once you reach your rank, you can quit the mission from the pause menu and reach rank 30 again.
Weapons and Types
One thing to note immediately is that these achievements do not cover every single weapon type in the game. There are some types that aren't considered here, so you can level a weapon to 30 and get absolutely nothing out of it. Use caution especially for thrown weapons - just because you throw the Castanas doesn't mean it counts as a thrown weapon. (I'm not even going to pretend to understand that one.)
All weapon types will have the easiest to obtain weapons of that specific type, assuming that the glitch will one day be fixed. This is by no means a recommended list.
Primaries
There are a handful of weapons that, for the purpose of achievements, may not classify as Rifle, Shotgun, or Bow. There are additional Sniper and Launcher weapons. The ones to watch out for are the Snipetron, Vectis, Vulkar, Penta, and Tonkor.

Sentinels
Kubrow should only be considered if going for the title update achievements. They are the most expensive to create, and they require additional expenses to keep them alive. Otherwise, stick with the robotic sentinels. There are five different kubrow types, but for the sake of this guide, I will assume you are only maxing one type.
Additionally, while all basic sentinels are 100,000 credits, Carrier is the most useful.
