Are you craving simplicity with your Easter decorations? We are. Don’t get us wrong. We want our homes to look beautiful and inviting. We are just feeling that less is more these days. And simple Easter decorations can be absolutely gorgeous. We love to create displays that don’t cost too much or take all day to prepare.

In this post we share an uncomplicated DIY centerpiece that works great for your Easter tablescape and all spring long.
Plus, we will share a quick napkin idea you might like to recreate on your place settings.

Easter Decorations Made Simple

You’ll notice our Easter table isn’t all bunnies and baskets. It’s not full of the usual pastel colors either. We want to show you that Easter can be simple springtime. The benefits are that you can use items you have on hand. And you can use these decorations throughout the entire spring season. You can always add your own pastel touches or bunny accents for more traditional Easter decorations if you choose. We will show you the foundation, and you can make it your own.

Green Moss

Standing floral bulbs. Mine are 10″ standing Snowdrop with bulbs

I got mine from the wonderful online faux flower resource of www.HousebyJSDonline.com. Right now they are sold out, but they will come back in stock. You can click on the flower resource link above and sign up to be notified when they are back in stock. Here is a white hyacinth standing floral bulb option as well.

Long tray or long bowl. Here are some options we like.

Now that you’ve gathered your supplies it’s time to put it together.

Live Floral Display Option

Faux bulbs are a little hard to find. And you may prefer real flowers. If you choose to create a real floral display here are the steps to create.

Line your tray or vessel with waterproof plastic or wrap.
Fill your tray with enough dirt to allow bulbs to grow and live happily.
Plant your bulbs and water regularly.

Easter Table Settings

When I brought out my cute little nests and placed them on the center of my plates, I was underwhelmed to be honest. I added the sweet robins’ eggs, and still was unimpressed. I mean, they’re perfect for Easter and for spring, but it just wasn’t wow enough.

- What could I add for a pop of color?
- How could I make the nests stand out and look like enough?
- What did I already own that I could use?

I went to my cupboards and searched what I had.

If you don’t already have the perfect green napkins, these are great options:

When I came across my bright green napkins I thought, “Hmmm….how can I use these?” The idea to create nests around my nests came to me just as I was walking over the table. That was it! And I love to use nests and eggs as nature-inspired Easter decorations and as a powerful symbol of the rebirth of our world. Nothing fancy, but boy, what a difference it made to the table settings and the tablescape in general. You can use any color napkin you have, as long as it compliments your table, and you find it beautiful.

Adding Spiritual Easter Decorations

For me, no Easter table is complete without some direct reference to Christ. On this table my aim was to keep the Easter decorations simple. You’ll notice in the photo above that I added a simple wooden rosary to the centerpiece. I draped it over and through the flowers as a reminder of the true reason for the season. You can get creative and add whatever touches you choose.
